Maybe it’s just me but who are these people buying new cars? I’d like to get a new car but I’m waiting for my one to explode before I can think about changing it. My car wouldn’t be in the best of shape. I drove into a scrap-yard there recently to get a part for my car and when I drove out I was accused of stealing!! That’s how bad my car is, but I love it.
I read on RTÉ’s website today that the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) reported that the number of new car sales so far this year has already exceeded the total sold for last year – I couldn’t believe it!!
In 2009 a little over 57,000 new cars were bought in 2009 but SIMI advises in the first five months of this year that new car sales have exceeded this figure.
